Uttarakhand has suspended licenses of 14 Ramdev company products, causing a 4% slip in Patanjali Foods Ltd stock.

14 of Patanjali Ayurved products had their manufacturing licenses suspended by Uttarakhand regulator on April 24th due to misleading advertisements.

The Uttarakhand government has not yet made public its order regarding the suspension of licenses. However, it is believed that the reason behind this decision is the repeated instances of misleading advertisements. The government order suggests that these advertisements have played a crucial role in the decision.

Recently, the Supreme Court has also criticized Ramdev for his failure to comply with its directives to stop misleading advertisements for some of his products. The involvement of the apex court highlights the seriousness of the allegations against Ramdev and Patanjali Ayurved.

On April 30, the Supreme Court is set to hear Patanjali's case to determine whether contempt charges will be pressed against Ramdev.
