SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch said- Retail investors are facing loss of Rs 60000 crore every year in F&O trading

A Sebi study had earlier pointed to 90 per cent of the trades resulting in losses. The capital markets regulator also came up with a consultation paper on Tuesday proposing ways to limit the activity.

The Nasdaq is down approximately 1.5% from its daily high.

The Nasdaq advanced by 2.40% on Wednesday, while the VIX Index dropped by 21.93% to close at 18.12 Points.
