The judge emphasized that the CBI's actions were not illegal, stating, "It cannot be said that the arrest was without any justifiable reasons or illegal.” Additionally, the high court dismissed Arvind Kejriwal's bail plea but granted him the liberty to seek relief from the trial court. Kejriwal had approached the high court last month, challenging his arrest and remand by the CBI, and also seeking regular bail. He contended that his arrest was unlawful, citing the guidelines established by the Supreme Court in Arnesh Kumar vs State of Bihar and section 41A of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC).
