Watch as a Chinese badminton player receives a marriage proposal from her teammate after winning an Olympic gold medal.

After winning China's first badminton gold medal in mixed doubles alongside Zheng Si Wei at the Paris Olympics, Huang Yaqiong was proposed to. Immediately following the medal ceremony at the badminton arena in Paris, fellow Chinese shuttler Liu Yuchen walked out with the wedding ring and proposed.

During the Paris Olympics, China's badminton champion Huang Yaqiong not only won a Gold medal in the mixed doubles event but also received a marriage proposal from her boyfriend, fellow Chinese shuttler Liu Yuchen. The romantic moment took place after the medal ceremony on Friday, August 2, at the La Chapelle Arena. The entire arena was filled with spectators as Liu Yuchen went down on one knee and asked Huang to marry him.

The crowd at La Chapelle Arena was ecstatic as the noise in the stadium reached its peak. Liu Yuchen surprised everyone by pulling a wedding ring out of his pocket and proposing to Huang Yaqiong, who had just won the mixed doubles Gold medal with Zheng Si Wei. They were the top seeds and dominated the draw in Paris.
