A 40-year-old man in Khammam, Telangana, was electrocuted on Sunday after inadvertently placing the rod of an electric heater under his arm while heating water to bathe his pet dog.

Donepudi Mahesh Babu, a man who lived near the Hanuman Temple in the city, was preparing to bathe his pet dog on Sunday evening. He took out an electric heater to heat the water. However, he received a phone call during that time. Mistakenly, instead of putting the heater in the water, he placed the rod under his arm and turned it on. This led to him being electrocuted and collapsing. His wife, Durga Devi, rushed him to the nearest hospital, where he was declared dead.
