"We are honored to have Thailand featured as the filming location for the highly anticipated upcoming season of The White Lotus," said Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, in a press release. "Our country’s exotic natural beauty, rich historical sites, and diverse landscapes provide the perfect backdrop to showcase our fascinating culture, delicious cuisine, top-notch wellness and luxury offerings, and, most importantly, the warmth and hospitality of the Thai people."
Janet Graham Borba, Executive Vice President of Production at HBO & Max, also expressed excitement about the collaboration. “We are thrilled to partner with the Tourism Authority of Thailand to bring Mike’s creative vision to life and highlight the incredible beauty of Thailand as the next group of guests checks in to The White Lotus.”
