Gold price in India today recorded decline for second consecutive session as dollar ticked up. Meanwhile, traders are looking forward to US Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell's speech for likely rate cut in the September meeting. US gold prices witnessed rally on Friday. 22k gold prices today slipped by Rs 200 to Rs 66,600/10 grams and 100 grams of 22 carat yellow metal prices today fell by Rs 2000 to Rs 6,66,000. 24K gold prices today declined by Rs 220 to Rs 72,650/10 grams and 100 grams of 24 carat precious metal prices today stood at Rs 7,26,500 after fall of Rs 2200.

According to Reuters, Gold prices have rallied more than 20% so far this year on safe-haven demand and hopes that the Fed will begin cutting interest rates in September.
