Sirius Digitech Limited, a joint venture between the Adani Group and Sirius International Holding (Sirius), a subsidiary of International Holding Company (IHC), has signed a deal to acquire Coredge.io Private Limited, a cutting-edge sovereign AI and cloud platform company.

The acquisition is significant as nations are increasingly prioritizing data security, making it important for organizations to have the option to retain their data within national borders rather than relying solely on the public cloud. This is crucial for protecting sensitive information and maintaining national security, especially given the increasing demand for computation and sovereign data stack driven by artificial intelligence. The acquisition will also allow the organizations to put AI capabilities directly in the hands of those requiring specialized sovereign cloud services for AI training and inferencing.

Ajay Bhatia, CEO of Sirius International Holding, highlighted Coredge’s global presence and its ability to scale solutions through sovereign AI cloud services that are globally available but locally operable. He emphasized their commitment to offering a portfolio of secure, trusted, and localized cloud AI technologies to customers and partners.

Coredge.io is a promising venture with an innovative approach to sovereign cloud technology, offering highly secure, scalable, and designed-for-AI cloud solutions tailored for government and enterprise clients. Founded in 2020, Coredge has quickly expanded its client base across various geographies like Japan, Singapore, and India. Its expertise in accelerating hyper-local cloud service providers with stringent data sovereignty and compliance measures has positioned it as a leader in the field.

Arif Khan, CEO of Coredge.io, expressed excitement about the partnership with Sirius, highlighting the opportunity to accelerate the development and delivery of advanced AI services while upholding security, privacy, and digital sovereignty principles.

Coredge aims to build the complete solution stack for sovereign data centers, including everything from bare metal servers to services like Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS), built on open-source technologies, enabling Sirius Digitech to provide Machine Learning as a Service (MLaaS) as applications get built on its infrastructure.

Sirius Digitech is committed to supporting and investing in Coredge’s sovereign AI and cloud platform business. Sirius Digitech focuses on building products for an integrated ecosystem of digital platforms, utilizing the power of artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and Secured Blockchain Products across infrastructure industries, extending to areas including FinTech, HealthTech, and GreenTech.

The technology of Coredge.io provides a comprehensive solution stack for sovereign data centers, from Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) to Platform as a Service (PaaS), enabling secure and efficient AI capabilities. This acquisition aligns with Sirius Digitech’s mission to provide localized cloud AI technologies globally to enhance data security and support digital transformation.
