Following one of the largest IT outages, which caused issues with Microsoft's Windows and affected various services, including airlines, IndiGo has announced that they will be issuing refunds to affected flyers. In a statement on X, IndiGo mentioned, “Due to a global system outage yesterday, our booking system was impacted. If your payment was debited and you did not receive a confirmation, please rest assured that your payment is secure."
The airline also stated that they are currently in the process of issuing refunds, which should reflect in the affected accounts within five days. "Our reservation system is now fully restored, and you are now able to visit our website to make bookings. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding," the airline added.
