The festival of Janmashtami is celebrated in India as well as abroad. It is celebrated every year on the Ashtami of Krishna Paksha of the Bhadrapada month. This year, the festival of Janmashtami falls on 26th August 2024. Indian Railways has announced good news for those traveling by train during this time. Western Railways has announced the operation of special trains on the occasion of Janmashtami.
On the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami, people visit the Krishna temples in many states of the country. Trains tend to get very crowded during this time, and people often face difficulties in getting confirmed tickets. To address this issue, the Railways has announced the operation of special trains during this occasion to ensure that passengers do not face any problems.
Western Railway has decided to operate the Janmashtami Festival Special train between Ahmedabad and Okha at special fares, keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers.
The train number 09453/09454 Ahmedabad-Okha Superfast Special (total 2 trips) will be in operation. Train number 09453 Ahmedabad-Okha Special will depart from Ahmedabad on 25th August (Sunday) at 07:45 am and arrive at Okha at 17:00 on the same day. Likewise, train number 09454 Okha-Ahmedabad Special will depart from Okha on 26th August (Monday) at 05:30 am and reach Ahmedabad at 15:00 on the same day.
This train will stop at Chandlodia, Viramgam, Surendranagar, Than, Wankaner, Rajkot, Hapa, Jamnagar, Khambhalia, and Dwarka stations in both directions. The train will have sleeper and general class coaches.
Booking will start from July 31st.
The booking for train number 09453/09454 will commence from July 31st at all PRS counters and on the IRCTC website. Detailed information regarding the route, timings, stoppages, and structure of the trains is available on www.enquiry.indianrail.gov.in.
