In July 2024, banks in India will be closed for a total of 12 days due to various reasons such as regional, state-specific holidays, as well as the second and fourth Saturdays, and Sundays. It's important to note that even though the banks will be closed on these specific days, customers will still have access to online banking services such as net banking, ATMs, mobile applications, and bank websites.
In June, banks were closed for 10 days due to Bakrid, Maharana Pratap Jayanti, and weekend holidays. The RBI issues an official monthly list of bank holidays, and there are three categories: Real-Time Gross Settlement Holidays, Banks' Closing of Accounts Holidays, and Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act.
