India vs South Africa T20 World Cup final: What happens if IND vs SA is rained out in Barbados and a reserve day is needed?

India will face South Africa in the T20 World Cup 2024 final in Bridgetown on Saturday. Persistent rain has affected the flow of the tournament and is expected to impact the final as well, so a reserve day has been scheduled. If the final cannot start or be completed on Saturday, it will be played on Sunday from the point of interruption.

In case of a tie, a Super Over will be used to determine the winner. If the first Super Over is tied, subsequent ones will be played until a result is achieved. The reserve day for the final is on June 30 and every effort will be made to complete the match on the scheduled day, with overs being reduced if necessary. However, if the minimum number of overs required cannot be bowled on the scheduled day, the match will be completed on the reserve day.

A minimum of 10 overs is needed for the side batting second to constitute a match. If play is interrupted and overs are reduced, the game will resume on the reserve day from where the last delivery was played. The reserve day's start time is set at 8:00 PM IST on Sunday.

India's head coach, Rahul Dravid, praised his team's adaptability to conditions and expressed hope that his team would be able to deal with the uncertain conditions in the final.
