Scarlett Johansson will star in the next Jurassic World movie.
Scarlett Johansson announced her role as the lead in the upcoming Jurassic World film directed by Gareth Edwards, known for his work on Godzilla and Rogue One. The screenplay is written by David Koepp.
Johansson expressed her excitement saying, "I am a huge fan of Jurassic Park. It's one of the first movies I saw in theaters, and it left a lasting impression on me. I can't wait to be a part of this project." The upcoming film will introduce a new story separate from the original Jurassic World trilogy, and Johansson praised the script, calling it "incredible."
The previous Jurassic World films each grossed over 1 billion dollars at the box office worldwide. In the upcoming film, alongside Scarlett Johansson, the cast will include Jonathan Bailey, David Iacono, Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend, Luna Blaise, and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo. The script, written by David Koepp, marks his return to the franchise after 30 years.
The film will be shot in various locations, including Thailand, studios in Malta, and the United Kingdom. Steven Spielberg is producing the film through Amblin Entertainment, and reports suggest that Frank Marshall, the original producer of Jurassic Park, will be returning alongside his producing partner Patrick Crowley.
