Gujarat High Court Transfers 222 District Judges
The Gujarat High Court has recently carried out a routine exercise resulting in the transfer of 222 district judges. Of those affected, 88 were Senior Civil Judges, 78 were District Judges, and 56 were Civil Judges.
As part of the exercise, four judges from Ahmedabad CBI Court have been transferred to Sessions Court, while eight judges from Bhadra Sessions Court in Ahmedabad have been relocated to other districts.
Additionally, 11 judges from Ahmedabad Metropolitan Court have been transferred.
Ms. Hetal Dave, Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of Ahmedabad, has been transferred to Bhavnagar and will be replaced by Mr. Amit Dave from Navsari. Fourteen judges have been given postings in Ahmedabad, and 78 judicial officers have been internally transferred.
Finally, Mr. H H Thakkar, who delivered the verdict for the Ahmedabad Serial Blast case, has been transferred to Dahod.
