Cylinder fire crisis among children and youth in Indore and Bhopal
Multiple children and a young adult suffered burns in two separate incidents in Indore and Bhopal due to a gas cylinder catching fire, highlighting safety concerns.
In Indore, a tragic incident occurred in the Azad Nagar area where a gas cylinder caught fire due to leakage while a girl was preparing tea for a guest. This resulted in burns for five children and a 24-year-old individual, all of whom are currently receiving treatment at MY Hospital's burn unit.
Similarly, in Bhopal, another fire incident took place in the Musakhedi area at the house of Jagdish Devda. A 16-year-old girl was preparing tea when the cylinder's pipe caught fire due to a leakage, causing burns to herself, her brother, and other children playing nearby, along with a guest. Two of the victims, including the girl, suffered critical burns.
Both incidents highlight the importance of proper gas cylinder handling and safety measures to prevent such tragedies. Investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of the gas leaks and the circumstances leading to the fires.
