In a tragic incident, a bridegroom and three others were killed when their car caught fire on the Jhansi-Kanpur highway late Friday night after being hit by another vehicle.
On Saturday, a DCM speeding on the Jhansi-Kanpur Highway hit a wedding procession car from behind on Parichha over bridge, under Baragaon police station, resulting in a road accident.
The car caught fire in an accident, killing the groom, his brother, nephew, and driver. Two other passengers survived and were admitted to the medical college.
Akash (23), a resident of Bilati village, was traveling to Chhapar village of Bada police station for his wedding with his brother, nephew Ishu (7), Ashish (20) and other family members in his car.
At about midnight on Friday, as his car approached Parichha Over Bridge, it was hit hard from behind by a DCM, causing the car to catch fire.
Additional family members were present at a distance from the groom's vehicle. Upon their arrival, they discovered that the car had become engulfed in flames. The police and fire department were immediately contacted for assistance. The authorities were able to put out the fire and safely evacuate the people who were inside the car.
