Bengaluru police prepare chargesheet against actor Darshan and 15 others

The Bengaluru Police have already filed a 3,991-page chargesheet in the Renukaswamy murder case against actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, his friend Pavithra Gowda, and 15 others . This chargesheet is a massive document comprising seven volumes and 10 files, including 231 witness statements and technical and electronic evidence .

According to reports, Renukaswamy, a fan of Darshan, had sent obscene photos and derogatory messages to Pavithra Gowda, believing she was destroying the actor's family life . The police investigation revealed that Pavithra had instigated Darshan to punish Renukaswamy, leading to his torture and eventual murder .

The charge sheet includes forensic reports of bloodstains on Darshan's clothes and Pavithra's footwear, as well as circumstantial evidence . The accused are currently under judicial custody in different prisons in the state .
