The police have issued their first official statement, with DCP Crime Branch Raj Tilak Roshan saying, "Prima facie seems to be suicide." Upon hearing the news, Malaika's ex-husband, Arbaaz Khan, rushed to the family residence. Malaika, who was in Pune, has since arrived at the family residence.
