Atishi is poised to make history as the third woman Chief Minister of Delhi, joining the ranks of trailblazers Sushma Swaraj from the BJP and Sheila Dikshit from the Congress. While Swaraj's tenure was brief, lasting only 52 days from October 13 to December 3, 1998, Dikshit left an indelible mark with three consecutive terms from December 1998 to December 2013, earning her the distinction of being Delhi's longest-serving Chief Minister.
Notably, Atishi will be the youngest among the three, with Dikshit assuming office at 60 and Swaraj at 46. In fact, Atishi will be the second-youngest Chief Minister in Delhi's history, surpassed only by Brahm Prakash, the city's inaugural Chief Minister, who took office at just 34 years old .
This milestone underscores Atishi's remarkable rise in politics, from her early days as an advisor to Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia to her current role as the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislature party .
