Akola school sexual abuse case: School teacher arrested for molesting, showing porn to six girls
Another disturbing incident has come to light just a day after the Badlapur school horror. A school teacher has been arrested in Maharashtra's Akola district on charges of molestation following complaints from six school girls, as reported by ANI.
The accused teacher, Pramod Manohar Sardar, was arrested on Tuesday evening after a complaint was received by the police. According to a report by TOI, the 42-year-old teacher repeatedly molested six class 8 girls for four months while showing them pornographic videos.
Superintendent of Police Akolka Bachchan Singh told ANI on Wednesday, "Akola Police received a complaint of molestation of six school girls by Pramod Manohar Sardar, a teacher at the Zilla Parishad School in Kajikhed. Police immediately arrested the accused teacher and recorded the statements of the victim girls."
"Cases under sections 74 and 75 of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita and POCSO Act were registered," SP Singh added.
SP Singh mentioned that further investigation into the case is underway.
This follows reports of an attendant at a school in Maharashtra's Badlapur being arrested for sexually abusing two girl students in the school's toilet. The students were from the kindergarten.
