Gujarat's Ahmedabad was among the many areas of the state drenched in continuous rain showers over the weekend, leading to waterlogged streets being closed down, flooding, and infrastructural damage. Local media reported that the city received over 86 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours, ending only at 6 am on Monday morning, adding up to 3.50 inches of rain in a day.
