The weather forecast for Ahmedabad indicates the possibility of light to heavy rain until August 29th.

On 26th August, red alerts for heavy rainfall were issued for various regions in Gujarat, including Surat, Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Rajkot. Ahmedabad was among the areas hit by heavy rainfall, which led to flooding in various parts of the state.

Gujarat's Ahmedabad was among the many areas of the state drenched in continuous rain showers over the weekend, leading to waterlogged streets being closed down, flooding, and infrastructural damage. Local media reported that the city received over 86 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours, ending only at 6 am on Monday morning, adding up to 3.50 inches of rain in a day.
