[26/08, 23:36] Pu: A video that appears to show a Pakistani woman threatening a crowd with a smirk on her face after allegedly murdering two people has left everyone on social media angry.
On August 19, a father-daughter duo was killed in a horrific accident on Karachi’s Karsaz Road. Natasha Danish, the suspect, has been detained for reckless driving in her Toyota Land Cruiser. In footage that has gone viral since, Natasha is seen standing in the middle of a sizable crowd looking disoriented but smiling.
Pakistanis are criticising the manner the accused is being treated preferentially by courts and law enforcement because of her family’s influence. The accused has been identified as the wife of entrepreneur Danish Ali, who runs Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Limited.
According to the Pakistani news website Dawn, Natasha was trying to turn her SUV when she struck a motorbike. After that, the vehicle crashed with two more motorcyclists before flipping over and hitting a parked car.
In addition to the father-daughter duo who lost their lives, three other people were reportedly injured.
Social media users have been angered by videos taken in the moments following the tragedy, which depict the suspect grinning and appearing remorseless.
According to the news portal Reviewit.pk, those on the spot stopped Natasha from fleeing. Although preliminary reports indicated that she might have been intoxicated when the accident happened,
these assertions have not been verified.
In one video, she can be heard saying, “Tum mere baap ko nahi jantay” (you don’t know who my father is).
The overlaying text on the viral video reads, “Her smile is just a big question mark on our judicial system.”
